Bobby was born in Long Branch, New Jersey and grew up in Red Bank, NJ before relocating to Florida.
Bobby had a longtime successful career as a Thoroughbred Horseman on the US East Coast between New Jersey and Florida.
He was a member of the Sons of American Legion Dunedin Post #275
Bobby is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cornelia Lee; brother, Lawrence Whalen; sisters, Marie Nesci and Diane Durdge and many nieces and nephews.
