Mrs. Agnes Tew Tanner, age 90 of the Plain View Community, died on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Cornerstone Health and Rehab in Dunn.

Agnes was born in Sampson County on January 15, 1930 the daughter of the late Newbern Tew and Ida Florence West Tew and is preceded in death by her first husband, Rudell Jackson and her second husband, Edward Vernell Tanner. She is also preceded in death by sisters, Sarah Margaret Godwin, Maude Tew, Betty Brown, & Melva Brown and Brothers, Wilbert & Wilton Tew.

Agnes retired from Sampson Sewing and was a member of Lee’s Chapel Church.

A private Graveside Service will be held Tuesday Morning, July 28, 2020 at 11:00 am at Williford/Lee’s Chapel Church Cemetery with Rev. Brad Williamson officiating.

She is survived by: A Niece: Patsy B. Adams of Dunn, NC. A Sister: Earlene Jackson of Dunn, NC Several Nieces and Nephews

Aunt Agnes u will always hold special place in my heart.You were there for us since the day we were born.Me Eddie and Ricky.We loved u like a second mom.Lots of Holidays family get together a and fun times oh what the memories .Now mother is here missing u so with her heart broken, but we all know that you are healed and see the light of day again.Enjoy your new life and we will see u again.
