Glennis - Today Joyce & I heard about Wendell's passing. Last summer she & I were passing & saw him in the yard. We stopped & said hello. I had not seen him since my high school days (1965). I asked him to say hello to you next time he talked with you & hope he did. Would love to hear from you if/when you have time.
We are both so sorry for your lost.

I’m sorry to hear of Danny’s passing. I was Danny’s apprentice instructor at Newport News Apprentice School. He also was employed by my machine shop located in Dunn, NC. His last employer Flowserve in Raleigh is one of my customers. I would always make an effort to speak to Danny when I visited there.
I remember Danny as a very smart individual, easy going, & easy to get along with.
RIP my friend.

Already miss my cousin. He developed a friendship with my grandson, Connor Pope, when Connor was about 4 yrs old. Connor loves math and Wendell was excited about sharing a math calculator with him. He visited Connor on several occasions to check on his progress with the calculator. He was so excited about Connor's interest in math. Wendell was a quite, humble soul --- just like his dad, Uncle Sam. With his "Family Tree" interest, he enjoyed attending the Wrench Reunions to talk with our family on Granny Rosie Wrench Spell's side. His soft voice was indicative of the person he was. I'm still not over the shock --- didn't realize he and I were so close in age! I am 3 months and 1 day older than him. Love you, my friend. RIP!!!!
