Doris Bain Abston, 71 , passed away May 15, 2018 at Life Care Center of Copper Basin. She was born May 21, 1946 in Raeford, VA. She was preceeded in death by her parents Shermon Bain and Sarah Margret Roop Bain and her sister Ann.
She was part in Falcon Children Home and a telephone operator at North State Telephone. Doris was a very strong willed independent loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
Doris is survived by her children Hamilton “Craig” McConnell, David Bain, Thomas Abston, and Amber Smith along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren, also surviving are her siblings Silvia Everett, Joyce House, and Ralph Bain.
We will be celebrating her life with a memorial service at the Falcon Childrens Home Sunday May 27, 2018 at @ 2:00 pm with the grave side service there at the Falcon Childrens Home cemetery.
