Godwin, NC Mrs. Doris Phillips Tew, age 71, of Godwin died Saturday, February 21, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Tew was born August 2, 1943 in Harnett County the daughter of the late Herbert Dennis & Mary Lou Hobbs Phillips and is preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda Kaye Tew, a sister and eight brothers. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, February 25, 2015 at Oak Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church in Wade with Rev. Michael Couillard and Rev. Larry Smith officiating. She is survived by her husband: Blackmon "Bunky" Tew of the home. 2 Daughters: Ann Tingen & (husband) Tony of Stedman, NC and Lisa Paris & (husband) Thomas of Cameron, NC. 2 Sons: Kenneth Tew & Michael Tew both of Godwin, NC 5 Grandchildren: Allen Bass & (wife) Amber, Mercedes Labbe, Chantel Paris, Justin Paris, Beth Bullard and 2 Step Grandchildren. A Sister: Pam Phillips of Smithfield, NC A Brother: Larry Phillips & (wife) Dale of Dunn, NC A Sister-in-Law: Inez Phillips of Dunn, NC The family will receive friends Wednesday Evening February 25, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn.
