Mrs. Gail Autry Covill entered into rest on Friday, March 9, 2018 being 59 years of age. Gail was born in Cumberland County, North Carolina on September 8, 1958 to the late Bobby Hall and Peggy Wrench Hall. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her first husband, James “Jimmy” Brewer Autry; and also her father-in-law Dallie Autry.

Gail was a 1976 graduate of Clement High School where she had been a cheerleader, during the early years of her life she had also sang in the Clement Baptist Church Choir. She had worked at Household Finance, dedicating 24 years of service. She also worked at Martin meats; but in the most recent years of her life she had worked at PJ’s Truck Body’s in accounts payable.

In 1984, Gail’s life changed forever, when her daughter Tiffany was born. Tiffany became the light of her world. The two had a wonderful relationship and she loved her daughter more than life and put her before her own needs making sure she was happy and surrounded with an overabundance of love.

On January 8, 1999 Gail married her second husband, Frank Covill. Gail and Frank shared an adventurous life together. They enjoyed traveling and taking cruises together, and they spent many nights together shagging and enjoying each other’s company. In particular, visiting the beach which was Gail’s favorite place to be, especially the Caribbean.

Gail’s world changed for the better once again when her granddaughter Peyton was born, Peyton gave her so much joy and happiness. The two were inseparable and it was without doubt that Peyton had her wrapped around her little finger. She didn’t have to do anything more than ask and she would get what she wanted.

Those who know Gail best and loved her remember her as a kind spirit. One who was in love with her family. Gail was someone who was there for everyone. She wasn’t someone who you had to call when you needed her…she was just there. She was known best for her bubbly personality and for being the Queen of sassy. She was a beautiful woman inside and out and she loved to pamper herself with shopping and keeping her nails done. She believed in hard work which included making sure her house was spotless. Gail had loved to clean and Frank now will have big shoes to fill!

Gail trusted the Lord with both the smallest and biggest things in her life and she prayed about everything, we may trust him now that she is at peace in his presence. The memories of Gail, so precious to the hearts of those she loved, will comfort in the days to come.

I must say I have never seen Gail and Frank for that matter when they were not willing to stop and visit a minute, offer a smile. My heart hurts for the loss each member of the family is feeling at this time. Frank I know where you are and my prayers for your strength and courage are constant; please know my prayers started the moment I received the call and will not stop for a very long time.
