Mrs. Hazel Anne Horton, 67, of Carthage died Wednesday, January 7 at Tara Plantation in Carthage. She was born November 15, 1948 in Cumberland County, daughter of the late Lester Howard and Eva Royal Howard. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 11 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home in Dunn with Tony Caudle officiating. She is survived by her husband, Billy Horton of Carthage, one daughter, Deborah Dai’Re and husband Eddie of Sanford, one brother, Bennie Howard and wife Hilda Jean of Spring Lake, and three grandchildren, Brian, Madison, and Alexander Dai’Re. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 11 from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home.
