James Edward Brewington Jr.

Mr. James Edward Brewington, Jr., age 59 of Hope Mills passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Wayne UNC Healthcare in Goldsboro, NC.

James was born February 18, 1964 in Baltimore, Maryland the son of the late Rev. James Edward Brewington, Sr. and Elsie Olean Bedsole Brewington and is preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Brocato.

James was a resident of O’Berry in Goldsboro. He enjoyed the social activities there with the other residents and staff. He participated in bowling and wheel chair competitions in the Special Olympics. He loved to listen to music, watch football and basketball. He was an avid Nascar Fan.

He loved his family, especially visiting with his sister. He loved eating cheeseburgers, grape soda, and anything sweet.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 7, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Dunn, NC. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

He is survived by: Sisters: Poshia Lee Brewington Bell & (husband) Earnest Lee Bell, Sr. of Hope Mills, NC. and Sharon Kay Brewington of Goldsboro, NC.

One Niece and Six Nephews. A host of extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 7, 2023 from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm at

Cromartie Miller Funeral Home, one hour prior to the service.
