Jerry Otis Gregory

He was the beloved son of Otis and Irene Gregory, whose love and guidance shaped him into the man he became.

Jerry was a devoted husband to Susan Marie Gregory. He is survived by his sister, Dottie Hood; his sister-in-law, Jenny O'Brien; and many others. He was a cherished father to Alisha and Charles Hennigan, Marsha and Tony Carroll, Angela Gregory, and Josie and Steve Brewington. His love extended to his grandchildren—Kaylee and Kyle H., Emily and Austin, Kyle B., Matthew and Anna Marie, Nick, and Tucker—each of whom brought him immense joy. He was also blessed to welcome his great-grandchild, Hunter Scott, into the world.

He was preceded in death by his dear sisters, Sue Powell and Joyce Harrelson, as well as his step-daughter, Christy Renee Brewington, and his grandson, Tyler Jones. Though they are gone, their memories remain close to his heart.

Jerry was a hardworking man who dedicated many years of service before retiring from SYNAGRO. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—fishing, spending time with his wife, and making memories with his family. His presence brought warmth and laughter to those around him, and his legacy of love and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Jerry will be deeply missed by many family members, nieces, nephews, and friends, including his best friend, Billy "Fireman" Graves, and his wife, Pat. His kindness, strength, and unwavering love will forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched.

Though he is no longer with us, Jerry’s spirit will live on in the cherished memories of his loved ones. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love that he so freely gave throughout his life.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church, located at 290 Red Hill Church Road, Dunn, NC 28334. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, with burial taking place afterward at Pleasant Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
