Mrs. Katherine Durham Durham Lucas

Mrs. Katherine Durham Lucas, 86, of Lake Waccamaw, NC, formerly of Falcon, died Friday morning, July 4 at her daughter’s home in Lake Waccamaw. She was born April 4, 1928 in Durham County, daughter of the late Fred Lee Durham and Jessie Lee Porter Durham. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. N. Doner Lucas, Sr. and a brother, Norman Durham. Mrs. Lucas was a member of Culbreth Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church in Falcon. She was a Pastor’s wife for 36 years and was a Home Interior’s Designer for 28 years. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 7 at 11:00 A.M. at Culbreth Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Donald Conway, Rev. Hill Teachey and Rev. Danny Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Falcon Cemetery. She is survived by three children, Donna Mullins and husband George of Lake Waccamaw, Don Lucas and wife Dana of Harrisburg and Lynne Lucas of Lake Waccamaw, one sister, Linda Spence and husband Robert of Browns Summit, eight grandchildren, Jonna Uljua and husband Steve, Jarrod Jernigan, Brittney Allen and husband Jordan, Alex Peterson and husband Daniel, Katie Mullins, William Mullins, Brooke Sears and husband John and Blaire Lucas, and four great grandchildren, Grace Uljua, Bristol Allen, Harper Allen and Sulley Peterson. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 6 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home in Dunn.
