Larry Edward Hardison
March 23, 1949 – February 8, 2020
Larry Edward Hardison, age 70, of Dunn, departed this life on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Wake Medical Center in Cary. He was born in Harnett County on March 23, 1949 to the late William “Bill” Edward Hardison and the late Henrietta Elizabeth Butler Hardison White. Larry always had an entrepreneurial spirit and spent many hours working to build his businesses. He was a lifelong learner and continuous researcher. He always felt that knowledge is power and had a great thirst for knowledge. However, not all Larry’s time was spent on a computer or working, on occasion he could be found with a fishing pole in his hand at one of his favorite fishing spots.
Larry leaves behind to honor his legacy, his wife Elaine Barefoot Hardison; two sons: Derek Hardison of Raleigh and Scott Hardison and wife Alyson of Fuquay; two grandchildren: Nolan Hardison and Meredith Hardison; two brothers: Kenneth Hardison and Brent Hardison both of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
In accordance with Larry’s wishes, he will be laid to rest in the Hodges Chapel Church Cemetery in Benson, with a small intimate gathering of close family and friends for a private service prior to the burial.
All arrangements are entrusted to Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home of Dunn. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cromartiemiller.com.
