Linnie Mae Bass, age 94 of Dunn died Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Harnett Woods Nursing and Rehab in Dunn, NC.
Linnie was born on June 25, 1927 in Pender County the daughter of the late James Daniel Piner and Alice J. Wells Piner and is preceded in death by her husband, Clester Paul Bass. She is also preceded in death by sister, Belvin Phillips, her twin-brother, Linwood Piner, and brothers, Davis Piner and James Other Piner.
Mrs. Linnie was a devoted woman of God, who put Him first in her everyday life. She was an active member in Trinity Lakeside Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She lived her Christian life every day and others saw it in all that she did, she was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved everybody and she never said a harm word about anyone, if she could not say something good she just did not say anything.
She spent countless hours lap quilting and made a quilt for every one of her children and grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 13, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Brown, Rev. Timmy Bass and Rev. Sherrill Pope officiating. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens Cemetery in Dunn.
She is survived by: A Daughter: Mary Alice Dolkos of Dunn, NC.
Sons: David Earl Bass & (Fiancee’) Phyllis Clayton of Dunn, NC.
J.D. Bass & (wife) Faye of Dunn, NC.
Paul Bass & (wife) Linda of Dunn, NC.
8 Grandchildren, Several Great-Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.
The Family will receive friends Monday September 13, 2021 from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm at the Cromartie Miller Funeral Home. One hour prior to the funeral.
Due to covid mask are required in the funeral home.
