Mrs. Lisa Faircloth Vargas, age 55, of Denim Dr., Erwin, died Monday, January 1, 2018 at her home.

Lisa was born on February 16, 1962 in Harnett Co the daughter of the late Edwin Faircloth.

She was a Quality Assurance Supervisor with Wake County, NC Dept. of Human Services. She loved her family and friends and will be dearly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 5, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at Glad Tidings Church with Rev. Tim Rice Officiating.

She is survived by: Her Husband: John Vargas of Erwin, NC

A Son: Alexander John Vargas of the Erwin, NC

Mother & Step-Father: Linda Strassburg & Don of Dunn, NC

A Step-Brother: Don Strassburg, Jr. of Greenville, SC

The Family will receive friends Friday at 11:00 am – 12:00 Noon at Glad Tidings Church in Dunn. One hour prior to the service.

John, Alex, Linda & Don our prayers are with you in the loss of Lisa. She was a wonderful lady and is now celebrating with Jesus. She will be greatly missed but we will see her again in Heaven. We are sorry we are not able to be with you all today but the inclement weather has prevented us from driving. We are snowed/iced in. God bless and comfort you all!

Dear Linda, So sorry about Lisa. Will try to get there Friday if roads around here permit. They are pretty bad today. Just remember our prayers are with you and I love you and all my family and wish I could take away the hurt, but we have to depend on the Lord for that.

Lisa's presence will truly be missed in Wake County. Her footprints and DNA are all over the Human Services department. Her laugh, her knowledge and her love of people made her special.
