Lois Clyde (Wise) Bullard

Lois Wise Bullard, age 87 of Dunn, died on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at her home.

Ms. Bullard was born on November 25, 1932 in Cumberland County the daughter of the late David Fairest Wise & Mamie Catherine Dorman Wise and is preceded in death by her husband, W.R. Bullard. She is also preceded in death by sisters, Pearl, Hazel and Virginia and a brother, Bobby Wise.

Lois went back to school in 1972 getting a LPN degree from Central Carolina Tech.

She worked at Betsy Johnson Hospital until 1980 and then she went to Campbell University Infirmary and retired from there in 1994.

She was loving mother of four children, two granddaughters, and four great grandchildren. She had many hobbies and interest in life, she loved to play cards, and loved to crochet and quilt. She made homemade quilts and baby blankets, she was always cooking for other people and giving to others. She loved to fish, always taking her nephews and nieces fishing along with her Aunt Vara.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 3:30 pm at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gil Wise officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Dunn.

She is survived by 2 sons: Jerry Bullard and Andy Bullard of Dunn, NC

2 Daughters: Cathy Lynn Bullard and Sheryl Ann Tew of the Dunn, NC

Grandchildren: Ashley Stocks & (husband) Reuben of Dunn, NC; Brandy Grimes of Benson, NC.

Great Grandchildren: Payton, Ty and Layla Kate Stocks; Cody Grimes

Brothers: Jack Wise & (wife) Ila Ruth of Eastover, NC and David Wise & (wife) Faye of Erwin, NC

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 13, 2020 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn One hour prior to the service.
