Mavis Lee Paul, age 82 of Lillington, formerly of Dunn died Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.
Mavis was born on October 27, 1938 in Aurora, North Carolina the daughter of the late Oscar Kermit Midyette and Matilda Iona Weatherington Midyette and is preceded in death by her husband, Hilton R. Paul. She is also preceded in death by a son, Gary Paul, brother, Kermit Midyette and sister, Mildred Woolard.
Mrs. Paul was a good Christian Lady, but very independent and could be very opinionated. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, her family was very important to her. She enjoyed visiting her brothers and sisters often and stayed close to them. She loved to go shopping, and eating out. She was great homemaker, her favorite things were crocheting and baking, Christmas Candy was one of her favorite things to fix and share with all her family.
She was a member of Benson Pentecostal Holiness Church in Benson, NC.
A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Memorial Cemetery in Dunn with Rev. Mark Fields officiating.
She is survived by: A Daughter: Jenny Paul Lee & (husband) Daniel of Bunnlevel, NC.
Sons: Larry Paul and (wife) Patsy of Bunnlevel, NC; Johnnie Paul & (wife) Carla of Lillington, NC.
16 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren.
Sisters: Ola Alligood, Justine Bullock, Arlene Midyette and Gayle Griekspoor & (husband) Teddy all of Little Washington, NC.
Brothers: James Midyette, Merlon Midyette & (wife) Becky, Tommy Midyette & (wife) Barbara and Robert Midyette & (wife) Debbie all of Little Washington, NC.
Sister-in-Law: Geneva Smith of Vanceboro, NC.
There will be a Visitation Friday, April 9, 2021 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn, NC. The family will not be present.
