

Paddy Loosier Duncklee of Dunn, NC passed away Monday December 30th 2024. She was born January 13, 1934, in Decatur AL to Perdue and Ellie Loosier and later moved to Fayetteville, NC. She was a civil service employee and retired as Supervisor of Medical Records at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg NC in 1996 with 22 years of outstanding service. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Delores Loosier Suehs, Mary Barton Lai and her brother L. Waverly Loosier of Montgomery AL.
Mrs. Duncklee is survived by three sons: David L. Duncklee, Bruce E. Duncklee and W. Andrew Duncklee and their families, nieces, nephew, and Connie Billings Loosier, beloved wife of her brother Waverly.
Mrs. Duncklee was always a member of the Honor Society in junior and senior high school. Her parents placed high importance on education and were always proud of her grades. She was a majorette in high school as well as working as a cashier at a local store selling ladies’ fashions throughout school. After graduation, she attended business school.
After her father died in 1953, her entire family moved to North Carolina where she met her husband Don (Dunc) Duncklee while working at Fort Bragg. After his discharge they were married and moved to Allentown PA.
She loved hosting family reunions serving her special lasagna. She also enjoyed gifting her cross-stitch projects to many family members and friends throughout the years as well as remembering family and friends with her very personal and beautifully decorated greeting cards, complete with glitter and ribbons. Paddy had two dear friends in her life: Margie Crumble whom she met at work and Lori Stancil who was her long-time hairdresser in Raleigh NC as well as the daughter she never had. They both filled her life with love and laughter.
Paddy Duncklee overcame many hardships and always stood up for herself with fierce determination. She will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by her family and friends.
Mrs. Duncklee is being cremated without an official ceremony per her wishes.
