Pamela Jean Hawley Naylor, 73, of 394 Wrench Road, Godwin, died at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield on October 25th. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Margret Hawley. She is survived by her daughter Jentry Naylor (David) and her son Robert Naylor (Donna) of Newton Grove and her grandchildren Zachary, Michaela, Nicholas, Morgan, Reagan, Morgen and Luke.
She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia. She graduated from Clement High School in 1963. She then attended Kings Business College briefly and postponed her academic pursuits to raise her children. She later completed her Bachelor’s degree in business education from Fayetteville State University and taught at Hobbton High School, where she was beloved by many students, faculty, and staff. She retired from teaching in 2007.
Most afternoons Pam would spend time loving on her lab, Sammy, and dancing along to Elvis. She had a fierce heart for bettering the lives of all, especially the lives of young people. She was an advocate for the education and achievements of her students. She loved her parents and family most of all and is remembered as a loving and giving servant of Christ. She fought long and hard for life, so please rejoice with her for she is finally healed and whole with The Father.
All services will be privately held for friends and family.
