

Pat was born in Widen, West Virginia on November 16, 1935 to the late Joe and Pauline (Foster) LaCorte. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Blischak, her brother Larry Joe (Joey) LaCorte, her sister-in-law Brenda (Johnson) LaCorte, and her brother-in-law Norman McLean.
Left to cherish her memory is her sister Judith “Judy” (LaCorte) McLean, her niece Johnna Skatell (Nick), her nephew-in-law Matthew Blischak (Samantha), and her godson Nicholas Mustric. Pat also leaves behind many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and cousins.
Pat worked for the Savings and Loan industry for 25 years, and in Real Estate for 23 years. Her motto was to give a “helping hand” to everyone, and she endeavored to live by the Golden Rule. She was very involved in her community, and was a member of the American Women’s Business Association, the American Legion Auxiliary of Dunn, North Carolina, and the Holy Cross Orthodox Church in Columbus, Ohio.
In regards to the funeral service, it was Pat’s request that anyone who knew her (such as a neighbor, a friend, a relative, or even a casual acquaintance) perform an act of kindness in her name. Also, in lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Blischak Family Scholarship Fund at the Columbus Foundation, 1234 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43205-1453 (phone number 614-251-4000).
A graveside service for Pat Blischak will be announced at a later date, in the care of Schoedinger Funeral Home, Gahanna, Ohio.
