He was born on February 10, 1952 in Ward, AL to the late Levi and Inez Moore Radcliffe. He was a 1970 graduate of Dunn High School and his first job was working with his father in the family-owned cabinet shop. He then served proudly in the National Guard. Later, he pursued a career in law enforcement with the Dunn Police Department, rising to the rank of Captain before retiring in 2009.
Ronnie was an antique automobile enthusiast and enjoyed tinkering on old cars and engines. He also built a mobile country stage, which was used at many local festivals and events for musical entertainment. He thoroughly enjoyed bluegrass and country music.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Alecia, of Dunn, NC; three daughters: Paula Ward, Allison Radcliffe, & Alaina Radcliffe, all of Dunn, NC; a son, Michael Radcliffe (Danita), of Dunn, NC; seven grandchildren: Jessica Jones, Amanda Wiggins (Kyle), Elliott Ward, Olivia Radcliffe, Michaela Radcliffe, Ashton Radcliffe, & Brooks Radcliffe; three great grandchildren: Kaleb Jones, Sophia Jones, & Hailey Jones; a sister, Linda Broadwell, of Coats, NC; and a brother, Danny Radcliffe (Ella), of Calypso, NC.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Lee-Johnson Cemetery. Share a memory or condolence at www.cromartiemiller.com.
