Shellie Leigh James

Dunn, NC Shellie Leigh James, age 39 of Dunn died Friday, March 10, 2023. Shellie was born June 1, 1983 in Cumberland County the daughter of the late Vickie Bowman James and is preceded in death by her Twin Sister, Kellie James Haithcock. She also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, LeRoy Bowman, Jr. and Margaret Lee Bowman and her paternal grandparents, David Carl James and Bessie H. James. Shellie was born a twin and faced many challenges in her life with her health. There were many surgeries throughout her lifetime. You never saw her when she did not have a smile on her face. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Cromartie – Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Meeks officiating. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens Cemetery. She is survived by: Her Father: David “Franklin” James of the home. Sister: Amanda James of Shallotte, NC. Brother: Jason James & (wife) Ashley of Four Oaks, NC. Nieces & Nephews: Tyler Marshburn, Matthew Marshburn & (wife) Morgan, Morgan Winters & (husband) Cameron, Victoria James, Caitlyn James and Drew James. Great Niece & Nephews: Hunner, Hudson and Raelynn The family will receive friends Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home in Dunn.
