William Anthony (Tony) Lockamy, age 62, of Plainview Community, died peacefully Thursday, June 20, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Lockamy was born on April 11, 1957 in Onslow County, North Carolina to the late William R Lockamy and the late Doris Addison Lockamy. He worked at Burlington Industries as an electrician for many years.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 39 years, Peggy Langley Lockamy; three children: Lucinda A. West and husband Steven of New Bern, William Bass and fiancée Shanna Motley of Dunn, and Tony Ashley Lockamy; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way; one brother: Jeffrey Scott Lockamy and wife Mary of Virginia; two sisters-in-law: Joan Sutton and husband Ralph of Newton Grove and Linda Layton of Plainview and a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from three o’clock until four o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 22nd of June 2019 at in the chapel of Cromartie-Miller Funeral Home, where a celebration of his life will commence at four o’clock with Rev. Michael Worley presiding. A private burial service will be held at a later time.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be made in Tony’s memory to 3HC Hospice: 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
