Willie Wilbert Wrench

Dunn, NC Mr. Willie W. Wrench, age 77, of Dunn passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Rex Health Care in Raleigh after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born October 3, 1940 in Sampson County the son of the late W.M. Wrench and Uree Jackson Wrench. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 41 years Darvis Wrench; sister, Doris Jackson; brother, Aubry Wrench; and canine companion, Lady. He was employed with Kelly Springfield Tire Company with 30 years of service before retiring. Willie was always happiest on his tractor in the garden he had grown and could be found around town visiting his friends. He enjoyed listening to blue grass and gospel musice and spending time with his family. Left to cherish his memory are his four sons, Greg Wrench and wife Vivian, Allen Wrench and wife Denise, Donald Wrench and wife Sean, Bryan Wrench and wife Heather; grandchildren, Billy Lee (Christina), Crystal McCullen, Tabitha Wrench, Megan Wrench, Mackenzie Wrench, Drew Lage, Megan Deskins, Leah Lage, Greg Wrench, Strachan Wrench; Great Grandchildren, Chrisma, Brayden, Emma, Lyrica, Rodney; brother, Toby Wrench (Betty); sister, Faye Hall (J.F.); special friend, Tammy Surles; and numerous other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 pm Monday, October 30, 2017 at Cromartie Miller Funeral Home, 401 West Cumberland Street, Dunn, NC 28334 with the Rev. Sherrill Pope Officiating. I had to pleasure of meeting Willie thru Greg working at Wellons, Willie would come and visit with Greg , I could tell that Willie loved his family and friends, my thoughts and prayers are with the family , we will miss Willie coming by the shop to see Greg, rest is peace Mr Willie.
