I worked with Barry at D’Youville College.  He was always so very kind and helpful.  He showed me great compassion when I suffered the loss of a dear family member.  Barry was a true gentle man and will be deeply missed.  My condolences to Barbara, Dierdre and family.  God Bless you Barry for the kindness and compassion  you showed to so many.

Uncle Barry will be missed. He really was one of the nicest people around. He was also incredibly knowledgeable about a wide variety of things. I always remember asking my Dad or other Uncles about things (before Google existed) and they would always tell me to go ask Uncle Barry, he'll know.

Barry was a good friend and  colleague. Always a friendly hello and a  cheerful smile. .I knew him in his roles as teacher and Registrar at D'Youville College. I enjoyed his and Barb's  presence and friendship at monthly D'Youville retirees' luncheons.. He will be missed.

Barry was a pleasure to work with at D’Youville, always thoughtful, patient and kind. We worked together for many years on graduation, getting student names spelled correctly, making sure of they were listed correctly in the program, right down to getting the diplomas in order to graduation. He made running this all important event so much easier for me and for our students. 
He was always a gentleman and my prayers go out to his family and friends.

Dr.  Barry Smith was a very kind-hearted man.  I had the pleasure to work with him for several years at D'Youville College.  My condolences to the family.  He will be sadly missed.  Cheryl Saramak
