Chester C. Syput

Chester C. Syput, of Clarence, NY, entered into peaceful rest on December 3, 2023 at age 84. Beloved husband of 57 years to Loretta (nee Harrity) Syput. Loving son of the late Chester and Valerie Syput. Dearest brother of Sally (late Mario) Citta. Also survived by nieces, nephews, godchildren and many treasured friends.

Chet was a proud graduate of Canisius High School, ECC and Canisius College where he earned both a bachelor's degree and an MBA. His career was centered in accounting and finance roles and he retired as the Financial Comptroller of St. Francis Nursing Home in Williamsville. Even in retirement, finance was still a key interest as Chet enjoyed investing in the market. He often encouraged younger friends and family to "start saving early" and to consider investing with his "buddy, Warren."

Chet and Loretta both enjoyed traveling and visited many countries in Europe as well as the National Parks here in the US. He and Loretta felt blessed to be able to spend their winters in Venice, FL for the last 15 years. Chet's other interests included photography, kayaking and biking. He also enjoyed playing computerized chess and commented that the planning strategies used in chess could be applied to life itself.

Relatives and friends may visit DENGLER, ROBERTS, PERNA FUNERAL HOME, 8630 Transit Rd. (just north of Klein Rd.), East Amherst, on Sunday (December 10, 2023) from 1-5pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 6919 Transit Rd., Swormville, on Monday (December 11, 2023) at 10:30am. Please assemble at church. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
