Dawn M. Murty

Dawn M. Murty, daughter of the late Otis and Marion Muck, devoted wife to Jim, loving mother to Ruby Dusty, Amber and Sean, and proud grandmother to Penny, Kennedy, Dahlia, Gia, and Bella, was born on October 29, 1955, and passed away on November 23, 2025, at the age of 70.

With profound sadness and endless love, we share the passing of beautiful, caring Dawn, who was a devoted wife, an incredible mother, a joyful and proud grandmother, and a treasured friend.

Dawn was so much more than the roles she held. She was the heart of our family. For 30 years she was a devoted wife to Jim, the love of her life and her true soulmate. Their relationship was a source of joy, comfort, and steady love that everyone around them admired.

Her generosity, her gift for creating beautiful floral arrangements, and her unwavering dedication to the people she loved made every day with her feel fuller and brighter. She poured herself into her grandchildren’s lives and never missed a game, meet, or performance. She was always the loudest cheer, the proudest smile, and the biggest hug at every event.

Dawn found peace in the parts of life that brought her genuine joy. She loved getting out for walks whenever she could, collecting beach glass along the lake, reading with a good cup of coffee, and planning her next family adventure. She brought warmth with her wherever she went, and her loving presence and devotion to the people she loved have left us with memories we will carry always.

Dawn made every space she entered more joyful, more welcoming, and more full of life. We will miss her more than words can ever express. Don’t cry because you will miss Dawn, but smile because you knew her.

Friends may call at the Dengler, Roberts, Perna Funeral Home, 8630 Transit Road, East Amherst, on Sunday November 30, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St Mary's Chapel, 6919 Transit Rd, East Amherst, on Monday December 1, at 10:30 am.
