E. Jane Wright

Born on April 21, 1921 in Cuba, NY, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Ethel

Wright and Alice Wright. She graduated from Cuba Central High School, she received

her Bachelor’s degree from Brockport State College and her Master’s degree from St.

Bonaventure University in Education. Jane taught in the Cuba Central School District for

40 years. She was a member of Cuba United Methodist Church and many of their women’s

organizations. She was a Matron and Past District Deputy of the Order of the Eastern Star

for over 60 years, a member of The Current Topic Club and traveled extensively. Jane has lived

in Buffalo for the past five years to be near her family.

She is survived by her sister Francis (Richard, Sr.) Funk; a niece, Deborah (William) Truman

and a nephew Richard (Louise) Funk, Jr. Jane is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.

There is no prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Cuba United

Methodist Church, 49 E. Main St., Cuba, and NY 14727 on Saturday July 28 at 12:00PM..
