Jennifer M. Smith

Beloved mother of Jack M. Smith; cherished daughter of Michael W. and Mary Jo Dahm; sister of Michael Dahm; and beloved companion of the late William J. McNamara.

Jennifer was raised in Buffalo and grew up an accomplished ballerina. She proudly graduated from Nardin Academy before earning her undergraduate degree in English from John Carroll University. After graduation, Jennifer spent time living abroad in Ireland, working overseas and embracing her love of travel.

In the late 1990s, Jennifer returned to the United States to become a flight attendant with United Airlines. She served with pride and carried with her the memory of colleagues lost in the 9/11 tragedy.

Never losing sight of what was most important to her-her family-Jennifer left the friendly skies when her pride and joy, Jack, arrived. Most recently, Jennifer devoted her time to the care of her late partner, Bill.

Jennifer collected friends at every stage of life, from high school, college, work, school to volleyball parents and more. She will be remembered most for her radiant smile, infectious laugh and enduring kindness.

Family and friends may visit Tuesday 4-7 PM at the Dengler, Roberts, Perna Funeral Home, 8630 Transit Rd., East Amherst, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 10:30 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 6919 Transit Rd., Swormville, NY. Please assemble at church. Entombment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Tonawanda, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
