John is survived by his beloved daughters Heidi (Zachary) Cancio and Katherine Rausch, adorable granddaughter Camille and loving sister Linda (J. Michael) Fetter, and was the devoted brother of the late Richard H. Rausch and cherished son of the late Richard L. and Helen (Williams) Rausch. Family will be present to receive friends Sunday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Dengler, Roberts, Perna Funeral Home, 8630 Transit Road, East Amherst (one mile North of Maple Road). Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated from St. Gregory the Great Church on Monday at 1:30pm. John formerly worked as both a draftsman and realtor and will be remembered as a nonconformist who loved the sciences, chess and spaghetti in equal measure. He was a long-time brother and Past Master of the Freemasons. In lieu of flowers, John asked that donations be made to Children’s Dyslexia Centers charity of Scottish Rite Freemasonry or we propose you take a train or sailboat ride in his honor - he would have loved that, too.
