When I reflect on my friendship with Kara all I can think of are the fun times and deep laughter we would always share together. I am thankful to God that he allowed our paths to cross. Even though so much time had passed since we had last spoken, Kara made a point to reach out and check on me after the passing of my father and I am forever grateful to her for that. It just speaks to the type of person she was. My heartful condolences and prayers go out to Mrs. Stein, her brothers, family, and friends. 

Kara was an integral extension of our family.  It has been heartwarming to see all of the interconnections formed because Kara’s reach was so far in so many directions.  She is going to be sorely missed not just by our family  but by all of us in her circle of influence.  Rest in peace Kara…

Dear Stein family and Kara’s Mafia, my deepest condolences for your loss of Kara. She was one of the first people who welcomed me to Amherst when we met at St. Ben’s CCD in elementary school. This is surreal, Kara and I go wayyyy back. The type of 'way back' that gives our city the tight woven and welcoming aura that makes people want to stay here. I speak for everybody when I say I'll miss you

Rest In Peace Kara you were a good friend.

My daughter adored Ms Stein as her teacher. She is the reason she loves Math. A beautiful soul lost too soon. We’re grateful to have had her in our lives, even if it was too short. Rest in Peace. 

Kara was born to be a teacher.  She loved the kids and they loved her.

We will miss you we will see you again someday up in heaven with God I never met you you are very nice person you are and I never met you and I never see you in school everybody say about you you are very nice person and God pray for people like like this family it's hard for the family and we will see them again others of the Earth amen

Kara was a wonderful student, friend, athlete and Tiger.  On behalf of ACHS, we share the deep sorrow of her loss and offer condolences to her family, many friends, and fellow alumni.  

I enjoyed catching up with her at Duke's retirement party and seeing her coaching  our Tigers in her role as ACHS Asst. Softball Coach.  She was a the role model Tiger - wonderfully kind, generous, and a talented young lady.

I first met Kara when she started working at my house to help with my brother and sister who have special needs. She quickly became part of the family. She became close with all of us. The countless times she would do my hair for me, help me with homework, just listen to me talk about things, and always willing to help out however she could! She loved my sister and brother more than anything! I still can’t believe it’s real. My heart is broken. You will be so missed❤️

I first met Kara in high school, she was such a kind soul, nice and accepting to everyone.  I can't even begin to know what to say to you right now other than I' m so very sorry to hear of Kara's passing.
My heart goes out to you all and you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Seeing the number of people just posting Kara shows she was loved by every life she touched. I hope that brings just a moment of a smile in such a devastating time. 

I am so very sorry for the passing of a beautiful person and soul. Kara was an amazing person who I had the pleasure of many years of coaching her in softball. For some reason I always called her, Kara Stein, not just Kara. I still have a picture on my desk of her from when I was coaching. Watching her grow up from around ten years old and seeing her play on past my time, to see her graduate and finish college and to see her coaching at the high school where she went. Kara always had a smile on her face and always said hi anytime I saw her. She was a gentle and kind person who kids loved and looked up to her.

I don’t know that I have met a person in my 34 years of life that has so quickly made me feel like a close friend. Kara was truly one of the kindest and most warming people I’ve ever met. She was and is a light. She will always be that. I am so thankful for the short time I was able to get close to her and the Savannah trip I was able to share with her, our friends and my wife. Although she kept beating me in beer pong. (Which I did not like 😂) I am forever grateful for that memory that I will cherish forever.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Kara was in one of my college classes and she was always so nice and super smart. My thoughts are with you’re family. 

I went to high school with Kara. I remember her always smiling in the hallways and saying to hi to everybody. Very saddened about the news. My condolences go out to her family and friends during this difficult time.🙏🏽💙
