This simply a travesty. I worked with Mark in the FBI in the early 1990s and have never met a finer person. He was a family man who loved life, his family and his country. The world is simply not the same without him.

Hearing of Mark's passing sent a shock wave thru my body. I had been messaging with him thru Facebook & he put on such a positive outlook & brave face that I didn't know he was in such pain. I remember him very well as a youth the same age as my brother growing up across from us. He was a great guy & really funny. I will miss him very much. My heart goes out to Paul, Dave & Lynn. Sincerely, Jim Styn

Paul, Dave,Lynn, and Scott,
You have my deepest sympathies for your loss. I have known Mark all my life and he was like a brother to me. I never got into facebook but I regularly called him and he always had time to talk.
I was fortunate enough to be in Va. on business and got to see Mark and Scott several times during my stay. I could see what a good father Mark was by the way he and Scott interacted. I extended my stay so that I could go out with Mark and Scott for their weekly outing to their favorite hangout. Unfortunately that was the last time I ever saw him.
Mark's passing will leave a wound that will never completely heal. You don't get many life-long friends and when you lose one they can't be replaced.
