

Raymond T. Daigler, of East Amherst, entered into rest on July 8, 2021 at age 90. Beloved husband of the late Mary Elizabeth (nee Pfentner) Daigler; devoted father of Annette (Walter) Scott, Patricia (John) Guglielmo, David Daigler and the late Jeanne Daigler; cherished grandfather of Matthew (Laura) Moran, Timothy Moran, Jordan Scott, Alexa Scott, James Guglielmo, Andrew (fiancée Sarah) Guglielmo, Michael Guglielmo and Maryanna Daigler; adored great-grandfather of Beatrice; loving son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth Daigler; dear brother of Garry (Marilyn) Daigler, the late Robert (Loretta) Daigler and the late James Daigler; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Ray was a Master Mechanic at H F Darling Inc for over 40 years, a member of IUOE Local 17, Operating Engineers. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus and a past Chief of the Swormville Fire Company. Ray was always there to help his family, friends and community. He served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. He was an accomplished wood worker creating many pieces of furniture for his family, friends and charities. You could always find him in his garden and he was an avid fisherman. He taught his children about working hard as a way of life; something that they will never forget.
Relatives and friends may visit the DENGLER, ROBERTS, PERNA FUNERAL HOME, 8630 Transit Rd., East Amherst, on Wednesday (July 14, 2021) from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 6919 Transit Rd., Swormville, on Thursday (July 15, 2021) at 10:30am. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
