For Tim,

With tears running down my face, I write this letter to Mr. Tim and send my condolences to Mama Jan, the church family in GA, and to friends.

Thank you, Mr. Tim, for opening your heart and your home to my children and me at the most difficult time in our lives. When Mama Jan first brought me home like an adopted daughter, you did not hesitate to accept me like I was your own despite the fact that I didn’t look anything like you. With a big dimpled smile and Peaches, you welcomed me and later, my children. You became a father to me and a Papa to my children. I remember how you and Jan took us to the animal park to make us feel normal in the midst of our fears and anxiety. I remember, how you meticulously and lovingly carved the Halloween pumpkin that year so we could celebrate and experience some happiness. I remember how we will leave early for church, and we will stop at the donut shop for breakfast. I remember your fatherly presence at home and at the church as you ushered lovingly, welcoming everyone into the church. I had hoped that you will be alive to see us again in a better circumstance. However, we thank God for your life and for the legacy of kindness that you left. May God welcome you into his presence with the biggest hug!

With thanks and condolences,
Esther and Kids.

Due to my health issues I can’t drive out there . I have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Tim . I guess my best one was when he took me to see a Buffalo Sabre’s game. Love to all . Tim and Jan were close friends, with whom we shared many life experiences for over 15 years during their time in Georgia. We served in two churches together, ministering in many way including our joint home group that met biweekly.
Tim was a very warm, humble friend who had a true servant's heart. He was a great host who along with Jan graciously opened their home for numerous social gatherings for our churches over the years. Tim and I were frequent "kidders"of each other, enjoying many laughs and some tears in our years of fellowship.
My wife Rhoda and I have surely missed Tim and Jan since they returned to Buffalo, and we have hoped we could have a reunion at some point. We pray that God will greatly comfort Jan, knowing that she and we who miss him will all see Tim again!
Love, blessings and sympathy to Jan and family,
