

Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Shirley; his children Jim (Cindy) Reitebach, Melle (Paul Aurell) Logan and Lindsey (Nick) Manguso; and his treasured grandchildren Liz and Joe Reitebach , Gianna and Sophia Manguso. His love for his family was unwavering, and he took great pride in their accomplishments.
Born in Erie, Pennsylvania, Bill lived a life defined by hard work, family, and a love for the water. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS the Sullivans before beginning a long and successful career. Bill owned and operated a service station in Erie before spending 20 years with Snap-on Tools. Later, he and his son Jim founded Reite-Way Refrigeration, a family business that reflected his work ethic and pride.
A lifelong boating enthusiast, Bill and his wife Shirley spent countless joyful hours on his beloved Sea Ray boats. His passion for boating extended to the Buffalo Launch Club, where he was a dedicated member and served as Commodore from 2007 to 2008. His leadership and warmth made him a cherished part of the club community.
Bill will be remembered for his hard work, sharp sense of humor, and practical approach to life. He took pride in a job well done and found time to enjoy a good laugh along the way.
Relatives and friends may visit Dengler, Roberts, Perna Funeral Home, 8630 Transit Rd., East Amherst, NY 14051 on Friday (October 17, 2025) from 4-7pm. A service will immediately follow.
