I am grieving for my favorite uncle, Ab Henshaw. Ab was always one of my special relatives, going back to when he was serving in WWII in the Aleutian Islands. Ab took me on my first fishing trip with several other men to Canada when I was still a teenager. He was highly respected in East Aurora while he served several terms as town supervisor. Always modest, humble, but fun to be with at our infrequent visits for family occasions. His interests were wide, his personality warm and welcome. We will all miss him greatly, a much loved uncle!

A wonderful man to know and work for. Ab gave me my start in the hardware business and gave me an opportunity to grow, I will always be thankful.

Prayers and condolences to the family of a great man...Ab always had a story, always had a laugh, and always had time for you. He was a dear co-worker and friend of my mom's, and the time they spent together the last couple of months was very special to her - he will be missed.

I am a member of the extended family of Ab Henshaw. Today we grieve the loss of a favorite uncle, the kind man with a twinkle in his eye, the man who loved a party and loved to dance, the man who just enjoyed people. He was so approachable, so interested in what you had to say and what you were doing. He was charming like East Aurora and he loved East Aurora. We miss him and his presence. Seeing him, giving him a hug was on my "to do" list for two years. I didn't make it. But he knew we loved him, all 27 of us. Susan Roehl
