October 22, 2016, age 82, of East Aurora, NY, beloved husband of the late Kareen (nee Kirsch) Putney; loving father of Donna (Brian) Schofield and Willis “Bill” (Mary Beth) Putney; cherished grandfather of Brittany Schofield, Megan and Johnathan Putney; brother of the late Russell and Richard Putney; brother-in-law of the late Carole (A. James) Leffler; uncle of Leslie Putney West and James Leffler. A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 784 Main St., East Aurora, at a time and date to be announced. Bruce was founder of Bruce’s Automotive in East Aurora, which he owned and operated for 42 years. He was a racing enthusiast, earning 13 Track Championships as a car owner.
