Charles M. McClure, a loving husband, Father, and Papa arrived home into the arms of Jesus on 6/08/24, he was 68 years old. Six months before his passing he was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor and even through this final trial his faith remained strong.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years Rebecca McClure; children Tara (Kevin) Struebel; Cassandra (Deacon) Tasker; Jacob (Kelsey) McClure; cherished Papa of Rose Rey, James Charles, the late Eliza Marie, Redmond Chest, Gordon Gabriel, Rebecca Grace, Lanny Rebecca Sarah, and Baby Tasker; loving brother of 8.
He had a tumultuous childhood, circumstances that many would have thought should have broken him but did not. He was a dreamer with an entrepreneurial spirit, through hard work and persistence he built a better life for himself and his family, giving his children and grandchildren a life he never had as a boy.
With a high school education, he began working as a mechanic in an autobody repair shop where he met the love of his life Rebecca. After taking a position with Mac Tools he discovered his passion for sales. He became a student reading books from the greats like Zig Ziglar and Dale Carnegie. When his time at Mac Tools ended, he created his own successful company Aurora Snax selling beef jerky and novelty items.
He stayed grounded and humble despite his great entrepreneurial success. He was an outdoorsman and spent his time hunting, fishing, and trapping. He was often seen riding his tractor with a grandbaby on his lap bush hogging or rounding up his Guinea hens.
The part of his life that he valued the most was his family and his faith in Jesus. He was raised as a Christian, but his faith grew when his son Jacob was a young boy. Together Charlie and Jacob attended Christian Service Brigade and Camp Hickory Hill where he became a passionate man of faith. He served in multiple ministries, gave generously, and cared for the people around him. In his later years when he became a Papa he was surrounded by his grandchildren most days of the week. A role he cherished more than any other. By the Lord’s grace he passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family with love.
Family will be present Saturday, June 29th at 10 AM at Orchard Park Wesleyan Church, 7295 Ellicott Rd, Orchard Park, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM.
