Douglas R. Potter

Born in East Aurora, N.Y., his parents are Roy and Jean Potter of East Aurora.

Mr. Potter graduated from Orchard Park High School in 1985. He continued his education, graduating from The University of Kentucky, after which he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.

Mr. Potter was an avid sports fan, rooting for his favorite teams: the UK Wildcats, Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, and Toronto Blue Jays. He also enjoyed golfing, skiing and spending time on Cayuga lake, usually with his yellow labs Bailey, Abby, and Casper.

Mr. Potter is survived by his parents; dear friend Paige Chapman of Falmouth, Maine; sisters Lori (Tami Krotje) Potter of East Aurora, N.Y. and Debra (Jack) Carrig of Johns Creek, Ga.; brother Michael (Todd Gregory) Potter of State College, Pa.; and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Boys & Girls Club of East Aurora, P.O. Box 36, East Aurora, N.Y., 14052.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Sat., May 11, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery. Everyone is welcome to attend.
