

Jerry was born November 18, 1935 in Oakwood, Ohio the second son of Ansel and Vivian Bidlack. He was raised on a farm and graduated from Oakwood High School in 1953. He was a member of the marching band and captain of the High School basketball team. He entered Tri-State College in September in the field of mechanical engineering. He married his high school sweetheart, Ruth Heidenescher in December and they had five children Jeffrey, who predeceased his father in October 2023, Cynthia (Gagan), Timothy, Bethann (Korchinski), and Deborah.
He graduated from Tri-State with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1957. His first job was with Cadillac Gage Company in Detroit, Michigan a manufacturer of servo-valves. In 1963 he was hired by Moog, Inc. East Aurora, NY as chief engineer of their industrial division. In 1967 he moved to Stuttgart, Germany as managing director of Moog’s subsidiary. He established ten more international subsidiaries and was elected Executive Vice President, President of International, and a Director of Moog, Inc. In 1973 he and his family relocated back to East Aurora.
Jerry was a registered professional engineer in New York State and served ten years as a trustee of Keuka College, Keuka Park, NY. He retired from Moog, Inc. in 1998. He also served as a director of Graham Corporation in Batavia, NY and at Bush Industries, Inc in Jamestown, NY.
His wife, Ruth passed away in 2010. He married Joy Mazzola in 2012. She had a long career as an Elementary School teacher. He and Joy established their home on Mill Road in East Aurora where they enjoyed their retirement years together.
Family will be present Monday, December 1st from 10-11 AM at Baker Memorial United Methodist Church, 345 Main St., East Aurora, where a Funeral Service will be held immediately following. Online condolences may be shared at www.woodfh.com
