Jack was born on June 22, 1936 in Buffalo, NY, the only child of the late John Sr. and Grace (Walsh) Nash. He was raised in South Buffalo and graduated from Bishop Timon High School in 1955.
Jack moved to East Aurora in 1960, he became an East Aurora Volunteer Fireman in 1962. He devoted 60 years of his life to the service of others in both the East Aurora and Wales Center Fire Departments. He volunteered as a Fireman and First Aid Captain at both firehalls. He worked in the Maintenance Department at Mercy Hospital, where he also became an ambulance driver. He went on to become an electrician and retired from Whitburn Electric in 1998.
He is survived by his son Patrick (Linda) Nash of North Java; his daughter Laura (late Marty) Ciccotti of East Aurora; Grandchildren: Russell Nash, Ryan Nash, Troy (Mea) Nash, Trevor Nash, Kayla (Corey) George; Great-Grandchildren: Jemma, Hannah, Hayden, Benjamin and Jackson (Jack).
Calling hours will be on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 2pm-6pm at Wood Funeral Home located at 784 Main Street, East Aurora NY 14052. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the East Aurora Fire Department, 33 Center Street, East Aurora NY 14052.
