Laura has been my best friend almost from the day we met 37 years ago. We ran like wild things all around Pinewood Trail, digging in the dirt pile in the center of the circle, climbing trees, sledding, making bug museums, and selling snow cones to raise money for the SPCA. We were inseparable. As we grew up and moved away, we visited each other in college and grad school. I can't tell you how happy I was to see the joy and contentment that Jeremy and Oliver each brought to her. She loved them so much, she glowed with it. She has always been one of the smartest, kindest, hardest working, most generous, and most thoughtful people I have known. She is certainly the most courageous. Her effect on my life - who and what I am - has been profound and will continue to be so. I will miss her forever.

Today is a sad day for our family, as we lay Laura ,our beautiful niece to rest. She was a devoted mother to Oliver, loving wife to Jeremy and cherished daughter and sister. Growing up her dad would call her the brain. May she rest in peace in gods arms. Love aunt Carmen and uncle Jim

Laura worked with me at SmartPill Corporation leading hardware design engineering and manufacturing. She and her husband Jeremy developed critical design elements to the companies product, a diagnostic ingestible capsule which remains today a key part of the Medtronic GI division offerings. Laura led the department with care, thoughtfulness and honesty. She held herself to the highest standards and expected the same of others. She held to these standards in a quiet manor without boastfulness or calling attention to herself. We all valued her opinion and those fortunate enough to know her counted themselves lucky to have such a genuine individual in their lives.

I worked with Laura for a couple of years at Greatbatch. We worked on a lot of great projects together and she often talked about family. She will be greatly missed. Prayers to her family and friends.

Laura was one of my first childhood friends and we spent several incredible years growing up together on Northridge Drive. As many will attest, the neighbors on our street grew to become our family and we all felt more like siblings than neighbors. Laura will forever be remembered as a very sweet, quiet thinker. She was so much fun and was quite patient with Lisa and I. I will be praying for Joyce, Chris, Lisa, Jeremy and especially beautiful little Oliver. Sending tons of love to all of you.

I only knew Laura for a short time when she became my Quality Manager and supervisor. During that time we were to have many work related conversations and many inevitably turned to her family, her husband Jeremy and her pride and joy, Oliver. I always enjoyed hearing of what he was doing now and the look on Laura’s face as she told me of how he would sit quietly and play while mommy worked and how all that saved up energy exploded when daddy got home.
She will be missed.

Laura and I were peers for 6 years at SmartPill. I learned a lot from her about not only our projects, but also her hard work ethic, dedication and her care for the people on her team. She will be missed by everyone. I will keep her family in my prayers.
