I happened to be scrolling through looking for Linda's Facebook page and was surprised and saddened to come across her obituary this evening.  I shared a suite with Linda and three other girls in the late sixties where we were undergraduates at the University at Albany.  Linda was always kind and full of fun. We sadly lost touch over the years. My condolences to her family.

My heart breaks for you Evan and Ben knowing your a great Auntes has passed.  But I know she loved both you more than any words could ever expressed.   She would want you to be happy and live the best lives possible.  Her love for you will forever live strong and that’s the testimony  and truth in her life and love for you both.  Mommy wishes with all her might to take away your pain.

My GREAT AUNT was a powerful person to me and Ben. When she died my throat clogged and I just cried weeks on end. My life is just not the same anymore know knowing shes not here in person. "GREAT AUNTS" was her picked nickname she got. Every night I cry myself to sleep. Its been 6 months and I'm still crying every day. Ben John and mrs.Aymber and I are still in a hard time from losing someone elsa.  I would give my soul away to see and talk to Great Aunts again and I think the rest of my dads side of the family and my step moms side too. One Christmas GREAT AUNTS game me a red blanket and I've cried in it every day remembering her. I will forever love you Great Aunts and I`ll never forget you.Thank you for being apart of my life Great  Aunts.I hope one day I can talk and see your face again.

Linda was a dear colleague, mentor, and friend. She taught so much, and asked for so little. I attribute a great deal of my love and appreciation for the power and importance of the history of medicine to her. I will miss our conversations and her laughter, but I will never forget her - or her drink of choice, a dry vodka martini up with a twist! 

Linda Lohr was my Great Aunt.  She was the strongest person I ever met.  She lived her life with the greatest gifts possible, faith and kindness.  In my opinion she is the greatest person that the world knew.  Til we meet again, rest in peace.

Linda was always so kind to me. I served on a committee with her right after I graduated from Library school. I was having a hard time finding a full-time job and felt so discouraged, and Linda was so supportive and encouraging! I will always remember her for her kindness and her amazing knowledge.

Linda was a wonderful colleague. She was one of the nicest people I ever worked with. So very cheerful and enthusiastic about the History of Medicine collection at the UB Health Sciences Library.  She told such great stories about the items in the collection.  She made them come to life. Linda will be missed in so many ways. My deepest sympathies to her family and friends. 

Such a big loss.  We worked together for 39 years in one capacity or another.  Linda -always pleasant and kind, helpful and respectful.  I fully admired her and will miss her greatly. 

Great Auntes will be forever missed.   She was so special to my boys Benjamin and Evan.  They loved her so much.  It's rare to find a soul as special as her.  She was always there to lift you up and provide wisdom and kindness to all she met.   I know her body is at rest but our hearts are broken as we grieve her loss.  

It was quite by accident that I first met Linda at UB many years ago.    I was looking for another room and came across the History of Medicine Collection.  I walked in and there she was, greeting me like an old friend.  Over the years,  I have brought students, girl scouts and many others to  the museum.  Each and  every time  we were met with her sweet smile, excitement  and a grand welcome.  
You are blessed to have her as family, I was blessed to have her as a friend.  Take comfort that as always, I am sure she is yet again smiling.
