

Born on July 14, 1932, in Schenectady, NY, Nick was the cherished son of the late Anthony and Mildred DeAngelo. He was also predeceased by his beloved sister, Angela Simmons [nee DeAngelo].
Nick proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he pursued his passion for music and education, earning a master’s degree in music education from Ithaca College.
Nick began his career as a dedicated and inspiring music teacher in several school districts and he later transitioned into educational leadership, serving in various administrative roles and culminating his distinguished career as Principal of Williamsville South High School. His integrity, compassion, and steady leadership left a lasting impact on the school community.
Nick is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara A. DeAngelo; his children, Diane DeAngelo (husband Joe Biafore) and Anthony “Toby” DeAngelo (wife Debe DeAngelo); and his stepchildren, Mark Carey, Amy Carey Olear, and Rebecca Carey Rohan. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who brought him immense joy.
Visitation will be held at WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 784 Main St., East Aurora on July 26, 2025, from 2 to 5:30 pm where a Prayer Service will immediately follow.
