My wife, Diana, and I spent a couple of evenings with Paul and Ruth on the 18th and 19th of July on the occasion of celebrating our 55th High School Reunion. We spent a good bit of time with Paul and met Ruth then for the first time. We were devastated to learn of his passing this weekend, and wanted to share our condolences with his family and especially with Ruth. It was such a pleasure to see Paul again and to meet and talk with Ruth. God bless you all.

Dear Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. Paul may be gone but by no means forgotten. He would be a hard one to forget. One of his favorite places to visit was the fair and how fitting he left us there. Could not think of a better departure for him even though it was too soon. His spirit will live forever in everyones hearts. Wednesday night I was at the auction and I watched him like I always do. He could make everyone smile and he enjoyed every part of being part of the auction just like watching his grandkids show on Monday. It will be hard not seeing him there next year. He was always willing to help and touched alot of people. Allison Hulme was part of the Super Showmanship on Friday and had to give a short speech while the decision for champion was decisded. She could say anything and she chose to remember your dad. She was just one person out of 1000 that your dad touched. Celebrate his life, tell stories and share pictures. You will find comfort in all that and it will help mend so many broken hearts. I am sorry that I will not be able to attend calling hours or the service but you are my thoughts and prayers. Your Dad now can join other loved ones in heaven but he will be still watching over all of us.
