Renée Roche Jones

Renée Roche Jones of East Aurora, NY entered into rest September 21, 2025; Beloved wife of 52 years to Gary Owen Jones; devoted mother of Wendy (Joshua) Jones-Epstein and Holly Eliza Jones; cherished grandmother of Gabriel, Benjamin, and Abigail Epstein and Elias Jones Nojaim; loving daughter of the late Walter and Mary Eleanore Roche and lovingly raised by the late Ross Wesson; dear sister of the late Rosalind (late Phillip) Barber, late Rebecca Michalovic and late stepsister Karen Wesson. Renée graduated from Indiana University with a degree in History; Phi Beta Kappa honors, then received a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Buffalo. Renée worked as a high school teacher in the Philadelphia public school system as well as the Kenmore, NY and Palm Harbor, FL public school systems. Renée was a substitute teacher at Elma and East Aurora high schools. For over a decade, Renée was the vice president of Jamestown Furniture Showrooms in Buffalo, NY where she worked alongside her husband, Gary. Renée valued her time teaching, traveling, needlepointing, reading, gardening, attending theatre, classical music concerts, and watching old movies. Renée was actively engaged in her interests often sharing her talent of needlepoint with others.
