Rose Marie Pieroni, 87, of Orchard Park, NY (formerly of Niagara Falls and Little River, SC), passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, at the Fox Run Senior Living facility, following a brief illness. A devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, cherished sister, wonderful aunt and treasured friend, Rose will be remembered for her radiant warmth, unwavering faith, and boundless generosity.
Born July 19, 1938 in Niagara Falls to John and Rose Kopacz, Rose spent her formative years in the embrace of a close-knit family, alongside her siblings Theresa(late John)Nichols, Marge(Larry)Fura and Sr. Renee Kopacz. From an early age, Rose displayed an innate compassion and a flair for bringing people together—gifts that would guide her throughout her life.
In 1957, Rose married Gilbert J. Pieroni. The two shared a deep, abiding love that was tested and strengthened through the joyful and challenging years they shared together. Rose was Gilbert’s steadfast partner and devoted caregiver, nursing him with patience and affection through a long illness, exemplifying her strength, loyalty, and unselfish devotion.
Rose found her calling in healing and caring for others, dedicating her career as a nurse and medical office manager in Niagara Falls. Her colleagues remember her as the heart of the office—gregarious, quick to laugh, and always willing to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.
After moving to Little River, SC in 2000, Rose embraced community life with her trademark energy. She poured her heart into church activities at Our Lady Star of the Sea (OLSS) in North Myrtle Beach, volunteering in the gift shop, the craft guild, funeral ministries and tending to the columbarium gardens. She was also a joyful member of the Red Hat Society in Little River and the Gourmet Club in Niagara Falls, forming lasting friendships wherever she went. A faithful Catholic, Rose further served as a Eucharistic minister at St. Leo’s Parish in Niagara Falls and remained an active participant in church life after retirement.
Family was the cornerstone of Rose’s world. She is survived by her loving children Laurie(late David)Taylor & Keith Pieroni, as well as her devoted sisters, cherished her grandchildren Elliott & Nick Brown, Nate & Knox Pieroni, Chase & Bryce Taylor, great-grandchildren Zoe, Raelyn, and Nola, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Gilbert, daughter Donna(Earl)Brown and her parents. Rose’s home was always a full haven for laughter, delicious food, and lively conversation. Nothing delighted her more than gathering loved ones around the table to share a meal she had lovingly prepared or passing along cherished traditions to her grandchildren and friends.
Rose’s many passions—cooking, gardening, crafting, sewing, and ceramics were only matched by her joy in sharing them. Her hospitality and generosity touched all who knew her, and she drew strength from her faith and the love of her family and many dear friends.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church in East Aurora, NY on September 25 at 11am, with a visitation at 10:30. Following Mass, the family warmly invites all to join them for a luncheon celebration at The Columns, located at 2221 Transit Road in Elma, NY, following the Mass. Rose’s inurnment will take place at Our Lady Star of the Sea in North Myrtle Beach on October 8th at 11AM.
