I was saddened to see Tim had passed. Tim you are missed and thanks you for all you did for the town, the club kids and me. I am sure it just got a little more fun in heaven.

Tim’s passing is such a sad loss for the East Aurora High School Class of ‘64. Tim was always such a gracious host during EA’s annual Reunion Weekend. For so many years he would open up his beautiful home for our class gatherings. We called his home “Reunion Central” for when our-of-towners “came home” they would register their arrival with him. Tim was always right at the heart of anything to do with his classmates...as evidenced by the photo taken at our 50th Reunion on July 26, 2014. You will find Tim smiling his classic sheepish grin 2nd from the right in the very 1st row. May God bless him with everlasting peace. We will never forget you Tim!

Our son Patrick was one of Tim’s original trail campers. He was such an inspiration, mentor and a true friend of our son and our family. He was instrumental in helping Patrick complete his Eagle Scout Project of upgrading the hiking trails at Camp Ska-No-Ka-San.

Thanks Tim for some wonderful memories as we all 'grew up' together... although some of us never did. You brought a lot of joy to a lot of people. Thank you for sharing your family - the Buchanan Clan - with us during our high school years. Remember the 'chick-chick' battles and Grandpa Link's cabin, 'Hemorroid', Tucker Moss and the Golden Toe and so much more. Safe trails my friend. Alan

Tim was a great friend - one of the funniest and most fun people I have had the pleasure to known. There could be a book full of memories from our youthful exploits - among them was being in the back seat of his parents cadillac while Tim managed figure 8s on the ice pond at Emory Park (until the ice broke).
There was also the serious side of Tim. He was a mentor to many at the Boys Club and with his mountaineering.

It wasn't long ago that we gathered at the Aurora theater to support and celebrate Tim. The Long Trail Out will be a lasting legacy to Tim's commitment to being true and helping others.

I am thankful that I was able to visit with Tim in March and made him laugh until it hurt.

Life will never be as much fun without him.
Condolences to the family and friends.

I loved Tim and I told him so.We were classmates at EAHS and we’re friends 👫 since our graduation in 1964. Tim was voted most
humorous by our class. He was a class leader, serving on the Executive Board. Many an EA family can thank him for being such a
great role model for their sons. My heart is broken. I did not know he was sick. If I had known he was sick, I would have been there for him. My prayers are with the family and to all who loved him. I believe that in the Tim and I will see each other in heaven. He probably organized a great party already.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Tim's passing. I had just talked with him about 4 weeks ago. Tim was a unique person. He was a brother, friend, mentor, Jake Differ 😁 and father figure. To me he was all of them. Tim touched my life in many ways. Tim always told and taught me to live life to the fullest. I will hold my many memories of Tim close and cherish them everyday. Thank you Tim for making me a better person and always believing in me. You will be sadly missed by many. RIP my friend and keep climbing. I am very proud of you! My thoughts and prayers to the Buchanan family.

I moved from East Aurora in 1991.
Each visit back home I would make it a point to see Tim because he could always make me laugh.
The time between visits was mostly 5 years but we could always pick up where we left off.
Each time there was always a handshake and a hug for each other.
Race day parties at Tim’s were always something to look forward to.
He was an amazing and congenital host ❤️🙏♥️
