Aunt Winnie and my father had a bond.

Sunshine came into the house whenever Aunt Winnie would come for a visit. As a young girl, I remember her gorgeous platinum blond hair, her leopard-print swing coat, the high-heeled shoes and of course the toy poodles she led on thin typically pink colored leashes.

Winnie was the most glamorous woman I knew. That said, some favorite memories include the times Winnie would take my mom shoe shopping. Mainly because the shoes mom came home with were always styled with sparkles and velvet and bows ... just perfect for a girl to play princess.

Aunt Winnie made a definite mark on me when I was six years old. She purchased a green and yellow floral slip and other under garments for me. I would never wear a T-shirt after that.

As the years passed, and I had moved to Dallas my relationship with my aunt Winnie along with aunt Cecilia was so very appreciated as they always made me feel loved. I will always remember the breakfasts we would have whenever I traveled to New York. Winnie typically had the eggs benedict and usually could eat the entire serving.

I'll miss our Saturday conversations & talking about our furry families and how she should stop feeding her cats too many Num nums.

But, I have to believe that Winnie is now with her sister, Cecilia; her brother, my father Philip, her son Mark, her husband John, Grandma & Grandpa Schuster and the many other friends that have gone before her.

Aunt Winnie if you are listening. You will always have a shining spot in my heart. Thank you.
Your niece, Toni Marie Schuster
