Murphy and his wife Gail of Norfolk and Joseph R. Murphy of Winthrop. Son of the late Joseph and Rose (MacAteer) Murphy. Brother of Ronald Murphy and his wife Brenda of PA, Rosemary Murphy of Arlington, Patricia Murphy of Milton, the late Joseph Murphy, Richard Murphy, Dorothea Gordon, Elizabeth Alker, Albert Murphy, Thomas Murphy and Sister Joseph Richard (Elaine Murphy). Loving uncle of Marcia Lieberman and her husband Robert of Norwood, Anthony Costa and his wife Debra of Mendon and many other nieces and nephews. Funeral from The Kirby-Rapino Memorial Home, 917 Bennington St. (Orient Heights) EAST BOSTON on Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church, 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 10am. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 4-8pm. Services will conclude with internment in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. Late member Mt. Pleasant Council 98 Knights of Columbus; Past Grand Knight of Council 98 and Past Chairman of Boston Chapter of Knights of Columbus.
