Emanuela Mattei DeNicola

Emanuela (Mattei) DeNicola, 91, of Melrose and formerly a long-time resident of East Boston on May 6, 2012. She came to the United States in 1954 from Italy. She is the beloved wife of 58 years to the late Michele DeNicola. Loving mother of Raffaela Phyllis Natola of Wakefield, Anthony DeNicola and his wife Linda of Braintree, Anna Marie King and her husband Wayne of Wakefield, and Michael DeNicola and his wife Sandra of Melrose. Cherished grandmother of Marisa, Amy, Rebecca, Amanda, Andrew, Danielle, Michael Jr., Matthew, Alex and Lisa; great-grandmother of Aaron, Emilie, Aiden and Christopher. Dear sister of the late Amalia, Michele and Mario. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews in Italy. Funeral from the Rapino Memorial Home, 9 Chelsea St. (Maverick Sq.) EAST BOSTON on Thursday at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in Our Lady of The Assumption Church, 404 Sumner St., East Boston at 10am. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 4-8pm. Services will conclude with entombment in Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
