Fr. John Capistran DiMauro OFM

Fr. John was received into the Franciscan Order on July 14, 1948 and given the religious name John Capistran. He made temporary profession on July 15, 1949 at Immaculate Conception Seminary in Troy. He made solemn profession on July 15, 1952, and was ordained priest by Bishop Jacob H. Griffiths on June 24, 1956 at Mount Alvernia, Wappingers Falls.

Beloved son of the late Grace (Schifano) and John DiMauro. Cherished brother of the late Anthony and Nicholas DiMauro and Camille Kardoose. Survived by many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Family will be accepting visitors at the Rapino Memorial Home, 9 Chelsea St (MAVERICK SQ.) East Boston, MA on Tuesday from 2:00PM-5:00PM and 7:00PM-9:00PM, with a prayer service at 7:30PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Wednesday September 5 at the Monastery of Saint Clare, 445 River Road, Andover, MA, followed by a burial in the Friar’s Cemetery in Andover, MA.
